Become a HeartsafE Community
Any neighborhood, business, school or church can become a HeartSAFE™ Community by following these steps:
- Choose a HeartSAFE™ Champion for your community & submit the application below.
- Have at least one registered AED for every 200 residents, located in a community clubhouse, recreational facility or the home of a resident.
- Offer Hands Only CPR+AED training to all residents with a goal of at least 10% of residents trained.
- Survey public & private office buildings, schools & health clubs within your community to identify & register AEDs.
- Promote CPR plus AED training to all pool owners in the community.
- Renew every three years to maintain status as a HeartSAFE™ Community.
- A HeartSAFE™ Community will receive road signs for each entrance, identifying yours as "A HeartSAFE™ Community".
